The business is part of Morgan Sindall Group and runs some 2,300 vehicles, split between company cars and private vehicles. It deployed Airmax Remote’s Remote Mileage Manager (RMM) tech to streamline its mileage management and saw a dramatic fall in business mileage claims as a result – prior to the pandemic too.
By implementing RMM, Magnor Plant was able to completely mitigate the risk of drivers overclaiming. The stand-alone service has been designed to integrate with a range of third-party services such as Google and the DVLA to deliver accurate mileage claims, whilst reducing the need for the driver to file paper-based mileage claims. Fuel card and charging point transactions can also be included and RMM uses validation processes to select the appropriate engine size and fuel type, ensuring the correct AFR rates are applied.
Thanks to the added visibility of employee mileage and journeys, Magnor Plant was also able to reduce unnecessary trips by optimising routes and implementing car-sharing schemes.

The solution also enables drivers to define their journey category via a dedicated business/private switch in the vehicle or via an app, driver portal option, all optimised to company payroll schedules.
