Customised Blue Light solutions
Empower your emergency service with mission critical, second-by-second data
Airmax Remote provides critical data needed by blue light fleets to deliver a seamless emergency service, while reducing costs through greater efficiency. Our heritage within this sector dates back to 2008 when we were selected to join the CAST consortium, formed of 12 specialist providers and brought together by Vauxhall Special Vehicles, to develop the police car of the future. This experience has given us unique insight into the needs of the emergency services and detailed understanding of how the latest technology can improve operational performance of their specialist vehicle fleets.
We deliver telematics solutions to a growing number of emergency services organisations. This includes working with over 15% of the UK’s police forces, and in recent years, we have transferred our proven expertise to the fire and ambulance services.

Key Benefit #1
Meet precise needs using proven technology
We always scope the exact telematics requirements – developing our hardware and software accordingly – to create a bespoke solution for every emergency services organisation. Our advanced telematics unit is covertly installed using a proprietary cable design that connects directly to the OBD port without invalidating the vehicle warranty. Our system can be fitted far quicker than any other solution in the marketplace and also during the vehicle conversion to avoid disruption and operation downtime.
Key Benefit #2
Accurate data for comprehensive visibility,
control and analysis
Our monitoring time is based on the atomic clock, with data captured on a second-by-second basis, and speed/mileage information is taken direct from the CANbus. Event tracking can also provide detailed usage information of any vehicle-related activity – such as blue lights, sirens, water pumps, aerial ladders, medical equipment – and Driver ID show exactly who is driving at any time. This makes our telematics solution ideal for real-time asset tracking, credible evidence gathering and historical investigations.
Key Benefit #3
Effectively working together to protect the public
Where an area or region has adopted us as a single provider, it is possible to achieve complete interoperability, especially during a serious incident or event. By creating this central service, the ambulance trust, police force and fire and rescue service can effectively share data and all assets can be monitored by designated staff through a single portal. This coordinated control room monitoring will become an important part of the disaster recovery process in the future.
