Video is transmitted into Airmax’s Microsoft Azure environment and stored in line with your existing telematics data policies, with a standard 60-day retention period. Videos can be saved locally within your own secure infrastructure for long-term storage.
Controlled access with existing logins
User access is managed through your current Airmax Portal accounts and permissions, so only authorised staff can view or download clips.
Evidential trail for every clip

How quickly can I access and view video from MaxCam?
Event video is available within minutes of an incident when the vehicle has network coverage. MaxCam automatically records the event and uploads the clip to the video platform. When MaxCam is integrated with Airmax telematics, those clips are tied to live vehicle data in the Airmax Portal, so you can jump straight from an event or alert to the matching video.
What happens to the video if my vehicle is out of range of the cellular network?
All video is still recorded locally on the MaxCam unit, even if the vehicle moves out of coverage. Once the vehicle is back in range, MaxCam reconnects and uploads the stored clips to the platform. When used with Airmax telematics, the tracking data is also backfilled so you keep a complete record of the journey and incident.
What does the forward-facing dash cam installation process look like?
Installation is straightforward. The MaxCam unit is mounted to the inside of the windscreen using automotive-grade adhesive, then wired into vehicle power and, where required, the Airmax telematics hardware. Our approved installation partners ensure the device is positioned correctly, cables are hidden, and the camera remains secure through vibration, weather and daily use.
