2. Ensure the driver’s door and one of the rear doors are open.

WARNING: When the vehicle is powered down, the doors and windows will not be able to open and you may be locked in/out of the vehicle.

3. Open the front battery to access the vehicle’s 12v battery

2. Open the bonnet and remove the plastic panel shown in the adjacent image.

3. Disconnect the negative side of the battery

4. Lift the rear, nearside seat inside the vehicle. On the front edge of the seat there are two hidden clips, one on the passenger’s side and one on the driver’s side. Feel along the front edge and slide the clip to the passenger side. This unlocks the rear seat.

5. Disconnect the plug by moving the locking bar to the side.

NOTE: As the connector is removed there will be a loud knock as the contactor is released.

The vehicle is now completely powered down.

6. Whilst at the rear of the vehicle, remove the panel located below the air vent between the driver and passenger seats. It’s held by clips each side so use a panel puller.

7. Disconnect the large connector and fit the Airmax T-harness in its place.
DO NOT connect the telematics device (RTU) at this stage.

8. Reverse the process. Power the vehicle and reconnect the main power connector under the passenger’s seat and slide the locking bar over to hold it secure.

9. Replace the polystyrene packing and push the rear seat back into position until the two clips lock it in place.

10. Under the bonnet reconnect the negative terminal to the battery and replace the plastic cover.

4. RTU Installation

11. Make sure you are seated in the driver’s seat and can visibly see the RTU and its lights.

12. Please refer to the standard Hardware Versions v3.0/3.5 Installation Guide for how to complete installation.

NOTE: If you need to refer to the general install instructions, please refer to Hardware Versions v3.0/3.5 Installation Guide.
