2. Kit Installation
1. Locate the Ring Carnation handset controller. Remove the handset from vehicle and turn over. Plug the RJ45 into the secondary port on the handset controller.
2. Identify a suitable location to install the protocol convertor (normally between the front seats) and run the Ethernet cable to the location.
3. Plug the ethernet cable into port conn 1 of the protocol converter and the RJ11 plug into the back of the protocol converter.
Note: Check the protocol’s DIAL is set to 7
4. Run your cable to the RTU where you can plug the other end of the cable which is a serial port into the bottom side of the RTU
3. Test Switch Event Outputs
Complete a physical check to ensure all lights are working correctly on the vehicle prior to installation of the blue light wiring. Activate each light and siren individually. Physically check they are working prior to deactivating and activating the next light.

4. Complete Installation
Mount the protocol converter in the desired location by attaching a sticky pad to the bottom of the protocol converter and cable tie down to a secure location or us the two mounting brackets with two self-tapping screws.
Secure all cables with cable ties and is neat and tidy. Ensure all panels are refitted correctly.
