Overview

The Airmax device delivers exceptional vehicle diagnostics and performance, communicating over CAN using industry-standard communication protocols installed via the OBD Port. Our device utilises a versatile, unsteered SIM, ensuring seamless connectivity across the UK and Europe with enhanced security, via our private Access Point Name (APN).

As a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), we utilise a multi-network solution, dynamically connecting to the strongest signal with a full Network Preference List (PLMN). This reduces coverage gaps and ensures constant, secure data communication for our clients. The unsteered 2G GPRS SIM connects to the strongest available signal for optimum coverage from all four major networks.

Key Features

Quick Installation: Installs in 15 to 30 minutes, with simplified setup across any vehicle location using accelerometer auto-alignment.

Multi-Constellation GNSS: Combines GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou to enhance location accuracy and improve Time to First Fix (TTFF) with antenna auto-alignment.

Real-time Fleet Management: Supports continuous monitoring via an ARM processor and extended data storage capacity, typically holding over one month’s data (~600MB).

Robust and durable design: Encased in a bespoke housing designed to withstand harsh environments, compliant with BS EN 60721-3-5:1997 Class 5M3 standards.

Driver ID: Uses industry-standard MIFARE technology for driver identification and assignment.

Low power consumption: Operates under 100mA during normal use and <7mA in “Sleep” mode, supporting effective battery management.

Broad protocol support: Supports automotive data and communication standards including CAN (ISO11898), J1939, ISO 9141-2, EOBD (15765-4), UDS (ISO14229) and FMS specifications.

Over-the-Air Updates: Supports remote firmware updates to installed devices (with no need for physical access or hardware changes).

Emergency Equipment Reporting (EWE): Captures analogue outputs and usage data for 360° visibility of vehicle activity, with integration into control systems.
