1. Kit Preparation
Tape up the Blue Light 5.5 metre hardwire harness.

2. Installation

Install VIM (Vehicle Interface Module) – Insert the white plug into the VIM and leave a little bit of slack as you will need to put a cable tie over the top like shown in the photo below
Blue Light 5.5M Harness
The blue light harness should run from the OBD port (this may vary in location dependent on manufacturer) following the side of the vehicle as shown in the below photo’s. Where possible follow the main loom down the side to the MCS controller.

On cars secure all cabling under the trims in the vehicle under kick panel b pillar and door seal trims clipping into place along the OEM loom without cable ties.
3. Control System Outputs
3.1 Vehicle Systems Check
Complete a physical check to ensure all lights are working correctly on the vehicle prior to installation of the blue light wiring. Activate each light and siren individually. Physically check they are working prior to deactivating and activating the next light.
3.2 Control System Output Configuration
Check each output from the control unit MCS (located in the boot) for voltage using a multi meter. Once you have identified which switches are live, go through each light sequence to ensure that the output only relates to that specific light required (front blues/rear blues/rear reds) sequence. Check that during all operations 999, rear reds, front blues, rear blues and sirens are reporting the correct voltage when the light is on and no voltage when it is off. False readings may be present as other lights could be on during each light sequence.
Note: Check also with boot open and closed handbrake on and off this can affect some light functionality in specific vehicle conversions.

3.3 Connect to control system output wires
Connect each switch event cable one by one following the guidance below ensuring the correct pin is located using a multi meter.
Confirm the voltages and functionality of the pins on the controller Before making the connection. Solder connections insulating the wires with tape afterwards. Throughout leaving it neat and tidy.
Wiring Information
- Front Blues – Purple
- Rear Blues – Blue
- Rear Reds – Red
- Sirens – Green and yellow

NOTE: For rear reds please connect rear red lights and in boot lights to ensure a constant feed between both sets of lights.
3.4 Complete Installation
- Ensure all wiring is tidy and runs through, where applicable, pre existing trunking and the cables are secured correctly down the full length of the vehicle.
- Refit all panels removed correctly.
