Welcome to the Self-Commissioning Tool Quick Guide, this short guide will show you how to access
the online tool in easy steps and navigate through it’s key functions
1. Customer Services – Help Desk Details
Telephone
The following support details are how you can contact the Airmax helpdesk for any queries or
additional training or FAQ’s.
The Airmax helpdesk will be available to support you by telephone and online tickets between the following hours:
- Telephone support 0830 – 1730 – (Monday – Friday) – T: 0333 358 3489
- Email support: support@airmaxremote.com Monitored 0830 – 1730 – (Monday – Friday)
- Emails received outside of office hours will be collected, however no action can be guaranteed until the next working day
All tickets must include a full description and contact details in order that technicians can respond whereby a unique case reference number will be provided automatically.
The service desk also can be accessed by directly logging into your own support account whereby you can monitor ticket statuses and review updates: Support.airmaxremote.com
2. System access
An online service to activating telematics devices. Launch your usual web browser (Firefox, EDGE or Google Chrome) and go to the Self Service Commissioning page by visiting the URL https://install.airmaxremote.com/devices/install
Please note: If we have implemented a customer URL with custom branding, please contact your administrator for provided URL.
3. Process Wizard
During the device activation and commissioning process, there are 3 (stages) for a successful job completion as demonstrated in image 1.
1. Enter and check the device unique identifier (IMEI), to confirm the device is powered and communicating with our servers and is therefore registered (Refer to image 2)
2. Once successfully registered, you will be required to filled in 3 text entry boxes containing vehicle and/or order information.
- [NOTE: Is important to register correctly so the device is linked to correct vehicle]
3. You will be promoted to confirm vehicle odometer, technician details and any other information before progressing to completion.
Once successful, completion will confirm vehicle is successfully commissioned and authorisation code provided, referred to as commissioning number.

3.0 Commissioning Steps
3.1 Device Setup

The page will provide a supporting link to additional online instruction for installation and any troubleshooting.
The IMEI number is a 16 Digit unique number that is printed on the Telematics device, please enter in the text box and press “check”.
- During the registration process, it can take a few minutes to complete process
- Helpdesk Details are provided within Section 1 of this document and contact details within each page footer.
Once the device has been installed correctly, a ‘success’ message will appear and invite you to the next step of the process.
If this is not successful, please refer to troubleshooting. Alternatively, the contact details for the Support team for further assistance.

3.2 Enter Order Details
The second stage will prompt you to enter the order number, vehicle registration, and VIN number. Please refer to the individual bag label to make sure you are installing the correct kit type.
Note, we use these details to validate against our system records.
Once correct details entered, press check and the vehicle information will populate below these fields.

3.3 Confirmation
Finally, to confirm the details entered are correct – please review all information and enter the current vehicle odometer reading in the relevant field.
You can also add your email address and any notes and a copy of the install details will be sent to the email address.
Once confident all information is correctly entered, tick the box to confirm install quality and information is correct.

Your installation is now complete and can finish your post installation checks.
