Telematics and vehicle data specialists Airmax Remote have moved to a new Innovation centre in Aston, Birmingham with a significant investment following a review of its business needs. To support its customer and vehicle requirements, with a dedicated vehicle R&D centre, ensures we have the latest technology and facilities and to support R&D efforts and deliver latest vehicle datasets in a continuously evolving market.

As part of the change, the office will now be considered head office, consolidating all of its business functions following a year of Covid-19 adopting a modern working environment supporting an agile method.

The new two-floor premises at Avenue Terrace, Birmingham, can accommodate all our agile-working colleagues with capacity to support our growth plans across Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Compliance, Software Development and HR.

The opening of the new Aston Innovation Centre delivers support for colleagues returning to an office environment for the first time since lockdown. But to support our culture, and to deliver the service to our customers we will continue to operate a balance of remote and office working, where appropriate.

The new office has been fully equipped with Covid safety measures to ensure a safe return to the workplace and look forward to welcoming visitors again.

HR Business Partner, Alex Allden, at Airmax Remote, commented; I am delighted to see staff returning to the office, utilising the facilities for collaboration. Consideration has been applied in all aspects of the business with a focus on Operational efficiency but also staff wellbeing. It was important we rebuilt that team spirit and refined our culture which is to the deliver the very best service to our customers and continually push the boundaries of technical capabilities, driving excellence throughout.

Our commitment to sustainability sees the office equipped with two 22kw electric vehicle charging points for colleague and visitor use meeting the progressive needs of customers wanting to transition their fleets to electric vehicles. The carefully considered location has resulted in a large uptake in other company initiatives to reduce our environmental impact with cycle to work and car sharing schemes as well as carefully considered geographics for commuting staff with close national public transport links.

Allden continued; we all welcome the opportunity to work from home, but in the best interests of the company and its clients we want to create an environment to promoted agile working for creative and collaborative thinking.
